Stakusic wins first set but trailing in 2nd 5-3 at Albierto Tampico. Watching right now from WTA.com
Marina makes the final over a very tough Sara Sorribes Tormo 7-6 7-6. Rebecca Marino wasn't quite as lucky as she lost to Blinkova in three sets, but a fine couple of weeks from Rebecca winning last week in Calgary and making it to the semi-finals this week.
Let's go Marina!!

Holger Rune going through the same thing that Felix and Shapo experienced facing Mpetshi Perricard. Double-faulting to give the set to GMP in the tie-break can't feel good though.
Can't find anywhere to watch Stakusic final.
She leads 4-3 playing in 1st set
woot woot!! Marina wins the tourney in Mexico defeating Blinkova 6-2 2-6 6-4. Coming through qualifying and ends up playing 7 matches in 7 days to take the crown, what an incredible effort!!

Big Ben must be watching me volley at the net. One bad volley was the difference in the 2nd set tie-break and GMP wins Basel.
It's hard to win a match when you can't break serve. I watched all the matches and Dennis played him the best of anyone this week and even he couldn't break that serve. It will be interesting to see how far GMP can go as outdoor elements, different surfaces like clay enable good returners more looks. No reason he can't be a threat on grass if he can have that serve going for a few weeks.
Yeah, I hope Denis takes a lot of confidence from this week, that's the way he needs to play all the time, just being patient and building points until he gets a chance to be aggressive.
Felix has pulled out of Paris by the way, so no Canadian men are contesting the final Masters 1000 event of 2024.
Gabriel Diallo just won his opening round match in Bratislava at an ATP Challenger event while Leylah also won her match over Heather Watson at the Hong Kong WTA event.
It's going to be tough, but he's got game aside from the serving, he's got a pretty big forehand to go with that serve and he's not afraid of trading shots from the baseline.
Edit: That one-handed backhand isn't too shabby either.
