The coolest thing would have been had they gotten an illegal contact penalty for a free first down. When has that ever happened? From first and goal to first and ten 75 yards further back. Nevermind had they scored a TD, it would have been a drive with nearly 200 yards of offense generated which I'm sure would be a record.

Or instead of first and goal I wish it were 2nd and 7 at the 8. Then that play happens and it would have been 3rd and 95

Baker being forced to apologise for planting the flag is lame as hell. You don't want someone to do that then don't lose at home.

He's comparable to Russell Wilson I think. A little taller, maybe a tad less arm strength.

I think he is more dynamic though.

He'll get a shot somewhere I'm sure and it will be fun to see if he makes it.

I was talking with a friend about him and we were thinking a team like Jacksonville could be good for him if/when they move on from Bottles. Warm weather/domes for 8 games/year, good defense and lots of weapons on offense assuming Robinson comes back healthy next year. His mobility should also mask their offensive line problems. Another option could be New Orleans to take over for Bree.

Michigan is doing a hard knocks style show with Amazon this season. I look forward to the SEC complaining to the NCAA until this too is banned.

UCLA, a team that has been ranked since pre-season, has surrendered 108 pts in 10 1/2 quarters of football.

Memphis is puttin it on the Bruin defense. Though Rosen looked somewhat inhuman until a pick 6.

Rosen reminds me a lot for Jay Cutler with maybe less arm strength. Guy looks all-world and then just makes the dumbest throws you'll ever see.

Blatant facemask. Can't make that throw that late. Awful decision. USC has a chance to deliver the knockout now.

I know nobody here probably saw it, but Montana senior QB Reese Phillips suffered one of the most gruesome injuries I have ever seen. After the play he was laying face down and his right foot was pointing straight up in the air. I've seen dislocations and breaks before where the foot was at an angle it wasn't supposed to be, but not sure I've seen one 180 degrees from where it was supposed to be. Ugly and career ending because he's started all of 3 games in his college career after transferring to Montana from Kentucky.

Fortunately for Montana their backup QB appears quite capable as they went on to win 56-3 over Savannah State (which has applied to go back to Division 2).

Interesting day in some ways thus far.

Fla. St. losing at home to the NC St. Wolfpack makes me very happy.

And enough of the Vanderbilt nonsense...they got snot bubbled at home by Bama 59-0.

Im half thinking that Iowa gives Penn St all they can handle tonight and also expect Mich. St. to show once more how fraudulent the ND pre season hype was.

Also has anyone caught that Nissan commercial with the Heisman winners and the eventual food fight? Fantastic stuff.

ND were unranked in both preseason polls...they had very little preseason hype and they have a tough schedule. At best they were a dark horse of a playoff game.

Washington State knocks off USC, Darnold picked a bad time to have the worst game of his career.

Mike Leach is great. Love seeing him have the success he has at WSU these last couple years. Falk is just a joy to watch at QB as well.
