Default Firefox Question

On my laptop, the tabs scroll out of sight when too many tabs are open. It is annoying because CP is my 2nd tab and every time I open a link, it opens all the way to the right and I have to scroll my tabs back to get back to CP if I leave the link open.

WTF? On my desktop it doesn't do this. The tabs just get smaller and smaller, but they all stay in view.

I looked around in the options, but there doesn't seem to be any place to change that setting.

I'm using the new beta (Firefox 3) and it has a little drop down on the far right that displays all the open tabs.

Is this present in Firefox 2?

I assume you mean like a dynamic menu listing as opposed to an option setting.

Yes, that does exist for me in 2.0.0.12
