Default Glare on laptop screen

I use two laptops and love them. Unfortunately, glare from lights and windows sometimes makes the screens hard to view. On one, under certain circumstances it's extremely difficult to view the screen. Right now I have the lights off in my office to make the screen viewable. Is there something I can put over the screen to take away the glare?

Not that I am aware of, most laptops suck in high light situations.

You could however try and get a different type of diffuser for your office lights which might help, however I am not certain it will solve the problem.

Actually, my office overhead lights are almost always off and I use a couple of lamps. I have a whole wall of south-facing windows (I have shades even) that face me so there is no glare from them that shows on my screen but the light that does come through still affects my screen. I'll check at a computer store sometime to see if there is something.

There are many anti-glare screens you can use.

I just know the effectiveness of them is hit and miss. Some work well in certain conditions and not in others.

Staples will have a few different ones, you may need to try a couple to get one that works for your situation.
