I feel like Caps/Jackets hasn't received much attention since they have played most their games h2h with other higher profile series but I've really enjoyed every game I've watched so far. Should be a rocking crowd in DC today after the shock of losing the first two at home. Caps have all the momentum on their side now.

We may not see any first-round games 7 in these playoffs.

On the one hand I like exciting back and forth series', on the other hand I'll be happy if the favorite wins in every series and we see all the top seeds in round 2. I think it provides the opportunity for better series' and matchups in the later rounds.

Right now only SJ was an upset and barely at that. i think the ducks were 1pt better in the regular season.

Cuthbert calling the Caps CBJ game.

That's a nice treat.

Americans love their afternoon sports. I can't understand how with only 3 games they can't at least space them out through the day.

Washington and Columbus tied at 1 after 1.
This has been a pretty good series so far.

Maybe Canadian teams should make a better effort making the playoffs

Uh that CBJ goal was goaltender interference.

Crashes into the goalie while stuffing the puck in.

It's a tough call, but I think Calvert was outside of the crease.

On a slightly unrelated note, Dubois is sure rounding into a nice player. He is proving rather emphatically that Kekalainen knew exactly what he was doing at the 2016 draft. It is also very satisfying to see how much this pick messed up the Canucks and the Oilers at that draft—causing both of them to over-rate their selections, and allowing for Matthew Tkachuk to fall to the Flames.

Jackets PP looking very Dave Cameron-esque.

Great stop by Holtby. He channelled his inner Bobrovsky on that one.

Tkachuk may always have been destined to fall to the Flames even if Puljujarvi had gone #3.

Had Puljujarvi gone #3 it was rumoured that
-EDM would have taken Sergachev at #4
-VAN would then have taken Dubois at #5

So I'm not sure that the Dubois pick really necessarily helped things that much. Regardless that draft was so good it would have been hard to screw it up. I wanted one of Tkachuk/Dubois bad but even if both had gone ahead of us we still would have had our choice of Sergachev, McAvoy, Keller, Chychrun, Nylander and Jost. It would have been hard to go wrong although it does look like Juolevi might've been a bad pick.

So in the end what we can really say to borrow a phrase from Reggie and apply it west is, Ha Ha Stupid Canucks! But yeah I was ecstatic to land Tkachuk as he was the guy I wanted the most outside the top 3 guys that year.

It's a crime that Americans get Chris Cuthbert and we don't.
