At least if you were a Hawks fan you would have got entertainment value from the 7-1 game. There was really no entertainment value for fans of either team. Two points makes it tolerable.

Yeah no question - terrible hockey to watch. But I do believe that's the recipe the Flames want - timely goal scoring, limited chances on their own net and solid tending - that wins you a lot of games.

Yotes are a lesson in why youth isn't always great. All that young talent - but actually putting it together in a successful way can be hard. The Hawks are doing it - but Phoenix has a lot of youngsters struggling.

I'm pretty sure if your team won 7-1 there would be something there even if it was a boring ass game...but then again how would we know

1 shift for Lundmark in the 3rd tonight after another giveaway.
2 shifts in the third on Monday against ANA.
Total of 3 minutes out of 40.
Strike 2?

I thought that was quite an entertaining game...not a pretty one, but fun. Maybe because I rarely get to watch many Flames games here in junkietown (Vancouver).

Man, I wish Kipper had have gotten the shut out. That's about all I can complain about this game... That, and I want the Flames to start scoring on the PP again. Good game otherwise. Now for the road trip.

And the Oilers lost!

Not the Flames' best game, but not exactly a terrible effort either. The Coyotes have all the pieces to be a team to compete for the playoffs, but they're not being put together well...

Ugly, ugly hockey, but 2 points are 2 points.

I couldn't care less about how ugly the game was. In my mind it's a beautiful thing when the Flames win.

Great game tonight. I thought both Glencross and Mosser had nice set-up passes.

Kipper played amazing again as we've come to expect.

We were fortunate Doan had a weak shot / the puck slipped off his stick right near the end.

Perfect half-ass effort for Sutter to light a fire under the teams ass for the road trip. Still a W though

are you being honestly facetious or was that just a "whoosh" moment? anyway. Good win. That Phoenix team are a scrappy bunch, and we deserved that win fully imho.

Lundmark down please.

Jokinen is a hockey moron. I can't wait till he is gone.

Yay, we won.
