Another older guy. This is a much better pick than the last two.

Seriously, how can anyone of us say stuff like this moments after a draft pick in the fourth round?

Incoming Sportsnet gig for Scorp. The "I've never heard of this guy but here's what I think" report.

None of the picks are overages - first time draft eligible for all 3.

The Greek kid is a march 2000 bday which would be right in the middle of the year

PLaymaking center. can never go wrong with that. Interesting that they valued him so much to trade for him.

So far I don't know anything about the picks besides a little teeny bit on pospisil. But it's not the end of the world, its their job to know more than us and the pundits. So we will see. Going FW heavy is something I like to see. We have a ton of D.

We can't, there is a reason why the scouts are getting paid by NHL organizations and we are sitting at home following along in the internet and TV. It's crazy to think anyone would have anymore knowledge then the Flames amateur scouts.

What am I supposed to say on this discussion board?

"That sure was a draft pick!"

"Brad Treliving has picked a player who may or may not play at the NHL level."

"We may never know what that pick will be?"

I have an opinion that the first two picks in this draft by the Flames sucked. I don't think it's unreasonable -- in fact, a number of media members share that opinion

Who would you have picked?

We'll come back to this in 5 years and see who's right
