Thanks for the deal.
Cogs has better speed, better defensive rating, and can play center as well as LW. Its not a great shakes deal, but it does really improve my fourth year and he gets cheaper next year.

We also can't do the draft this year and had to move our 3rds so this move made sense.

The Leafs have traded Joel Edmundson to Calgary for a 3rd, and Mike Matheson to St. Louis for a 4th.
Toronto was not going to sign either RFA, so we were happy to grab a couple of picks instead of just letting them walk.

Hurricanes don't have much interest in Cole, but it was one of those deals far away from the core and it's a good thing to have some movement, to not get stale
There's a chance that Chara could retire this offseason, so if he does this move will help. If he doesn't then his DF will be of some use till I find him a home
