I had some extra draft capital and have been interested in picking up Hayes for a while. Hayes rating might take a hit next season, due to his injury plagued NHL season, so it is definitely a risk. The 1 million helps slightly in making up the contract difference between the two players

For the Kings, Dickenson was an extra guy once I picked up Bonino a couple of weeks ago. The 700K means that I don't have to send anyone down to the AHL, with Jokijarju coming off of the IR.
For the Rangers, looks like an upgrade on the fourth line and a shutdown guy for the playoffs and PK. Look forward to facing New York in the finals!
