Did Fiala make a deal with the devil? How did he suddenly turn into prime Ilya Kovalchuk? That shot is ridiculous.

Canucks almost blow it.
Man, Fenton really robbed Nashville blind with that Fiala trade. Dude's a superstar.

Wouldn't have minded some OT to be honest, albeit it's already quite late.

That pettersson shot to the back of Hartman's head was vicious! Deserves a fine at the least?
But some are saying Hartman embellished

When I watched the slow motion highlights I thought maybe Hartman embellished Petterssons punch by tucking his chin and holding his head, but the momentum of his body hitting the ice with the top of his head being principal point of contact actually lead to a concussion. If he was embellishing he did a convincing job of wobbling on his skates once he got up.
After the panel showed Hartmans antics over his career it’s hard to give him the benefit of the doubt. His own teams lack of outrage should be telling as well.

I suspect the majority thought the opposite about that trade when it happened

Really? The vanilla mid-high cap hit forward for a former early first round draft pick who is an RFA with a lot of upside?
I’m certain the CP majority thought this was robbery at the time.
Edit: I looked and I couldn’t have been more wrong. You win.

Granlund was coming off seasons with 69 and 67pts and had 49pts in 63 games when they made that trade.
Sure worked out great for the Wild and Granlund likely walks in free agency for the Preds this summer.

Yeah Fenton was criticized heavily for that move. It was thought to be another Nierdereiter for Rask deal. Many thought he should have been chasing picks. But looks like he knew something about his old Nashville player.

Is anyone watching this? It's a really tight game so far. Scoreless after one.

Holy #### that is an incredibly dangerous hit on Petterson. Very lucky not to have something bad happen there.

Yikes. That was an ugly hit. Nevertheless, Pettersson can't put himself in that position, there is no happy ending to that. Of course that is no excuse to hit him after he makes himself vulnerable, but still.

Of all the play-in series, this one has looked the most vicious to me. Whoever emerges from this one is going to be beaten to a pulp.

Well, the Canucks have already lost three forwards to injury, so that seems likely to be the case, yes. And to your point, they just took their second penalty of the game for absolutely trucking Alex Stalock. I didn't see if Eriksson got pushed in there but he totally ran him over.
I predict a goal from Fiala or Dumba here. EDIT: I predict incorrectly.
