People are starting to give compliments to the Canucks and feel sympathy for the Oilers. Flames fans need this win!

Ha ha ha. So true but I have come to terms with what this flawed core and am at peace with it. As much as I don't want this season to end I'm also really looking forward to changes and a bit of a new beginning for this team next season as I've not been a big fan of this iteration of the Flames.

This game will at least show us who comes out to play and wants to be here.
Any passengers tonight can go honestly, if you cant get up to play in a game like this and give it your everything you don't deserve to play in the NHL at least not on the Flames imo.

Let's see who's "give a ####" meter is turned up.

Time for the top line to have a statement game. They will sink or swim with how they go tonight. Let's see what happens.

I honestly don't even care anymore. If they win, great. We'll get another game at least. If not, then meh...whatever.

Well, if the Flames win I can enjoy at least another game, and maybe more, of Flames hockey. If they lose then, like every year, I can begin enjoying my spring and preparing for the summer ahead......oh wait.

We all know this is a toxic relationship, but we love them too much to change.

This the last chance for some of this core to prove they can be a factor when the going gets tough. Unless they elevate their game and help win these next two games I want to see this team move on from Gaudreau, Monahan, and Gio. I would rather these guys show they can step up and win these games but I have my doubts.

Flames are smart. They are getting their playoff adversity out of the way early.

Nothing but smooth sailing from here.

Clearly alarm clocks aren't enough to get this gang going. Time for the heavy artillery:

A game 7 on Saturday night would be a lot of fun.

I disagree with the sentiment that there have been many passengers for the Flames. I expect a very solid effort and a close game tonight.

even if they ultimately fail I want to see an uptempo game with some urgency.

Play like it's your last game of 2020 and you want to be here...

Most of them have not even got on the bus.

Hoping for a decent effort tonight. If Tkachuk is not back I would leave Lindholm on the Backlund line and use either Rieder or Ryan on the top line. If Tkachuk comes back I would still leave Lindholm on the backlund line and put Matthew on the Monahan line. In any event hoping for a competitive effort in all 3 periods and a lot of pucks put on net.

Flames are either going to win or lose tonight based on how many scores they let in and how many scores they score themselves.

Meh it’s a wonky tournament anyway. Not really invested. Let me know when I can go back to the Dome, take in the playoff atmosphere and cheer for my team.
