icon53 Flames play well, can't capitalize. Oilers win 4-1

Not a bad showing all things considered. Bennett beats Smith and Mangiapane puts it into the wide-open net and we're looking at a way different ending.

Go Flames!

Not so good first, but Flames were better after. Gotta start the game on time though. Goaltending is a big question mark. All in from the start on Saturday and go from there.

Well, that sucked. Flames had lots of offensive zone control and nice passing, with some good chances, but they didn't show the scoring touch that Edmonton had. Can't win by possession alone.

I think we match up better against Winnipeg minus goaltending. Not too worried.

Love the hustle from Dube. Best player for the Flames tonight.

Big takeaway was Janko getting benched and Bennett looking good with Dube again.

I'm fine with:
Lucic - Bennett - Dube
Rieder - Ryan - Rinaldo

Spotting Ryan extra shifts when we need a faceoff win especially.

Very impressed with Dube. I think he is going to become a core player very quickly next season.

Ya, the first line line got our only goal, but they need to be more dangerous, more often. I like the supporting cast for this years run.

And Scorp is done with game day threads for the remainder of the season. Some poster had a good run this year. Time to step up again.
