What an amazing match. England made so few mistakes and never looked back after the early try. Awesome.

What a horrible game.

SA look scared to play, Le Roux looks scared to make a mistake or have a go. When he broke through with the Cheetahs he was a danger, now......

Is SA show up with that effort an game plan the Pommies will smash them, and deservedly so.

Can’t believe I’m saying this, but I might actually be cheering on the Brits next week. My team being Ireland (and to a lesser extent, Wales), this is off course sacrilege, but the way the Boks played these last two games has left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth. Reminds me of the way Italians approach soccer. All the talent in the world, but play in a defensive shell and wait for the other team to make a mistake.

The first 55 minutes of that game were horrible. After watching NZ and England leave it all on the field the night before it was frustrating to watch two teams playing not to lose. Thankfully things got a little more exciting after the SA try when the game opened up a bit and you had the tension of a close elimination game.

Yeah I normally cheer for Southern over Northern and always against the English but not this time.

Your frequent use of the phrase Poms and Pommies.

I don't think of it as a generic nickname, moreso one specific that the Aussies (Kiwis too?) use for the English. Hence the question.

The other term, #### (poop) eaters gets censored out.

I find it is a term (pommies) that is used more in rugby circles.

Wow they smashed them! The South Africans came out physical and England wilted under pressure. The Southern Hemisphere dominance continues.

The Boks deserved to win that game.

That being said the loss of Sinckler was huge. In the England set up he takes up so much first up ball and distributes. Also, I don't see him getting worked over like Cole did. It was an immense loss.

Also, Garces calls a horrible game, I really can't stand his approach to the laws. The breakdown was a mess.

The deciding factor in this was the Boks' D. It was far superior to that which the Pommies faced the week before. Better b D at the fringes and no over pursuit, also the Boks slowed the ball down at the breakdown. Every ball was contested. Once they had a bit of a lead they allowed themselves to start moving the ball around.

For a game without a lot of tries it was a pretty good game.

Crazy to think this is SA's 3rd WC win and only the first one in which they have scored a try.
