Colorado wasn't a standard 8 seed...they honestly could have won the cup with a couple bounces. They are a favorite this season.

Jets are nowhere near as good

This is 100% accurate. The seedings in last year's match up were entirely misleading. I'd say this year's seeding for Jets/Flames is just about right on in terms of reflecting reality.

Colorado also had season long good goal-tending, a sneaky good D, and one of the best lines in hockey ( that they rode like a rented mule).

They were much better than their record suggested.

I agree that Colorado was peaking at the right time, not nearly as worried about the Jets. Their defense is trash. This year is up in the air anyway.

Their coaching is superior, as is their goaltending. Though, their centre depth is weak which may work to our advantage.

I think this series should be a full on war with two teams both sitting firmly in that middle mediocre tier of the league.

Goaltending could go either way imo. And generally defense wins in the playoffs so I think the Flames have an edge although in a short series goaltending plays a huge role- who's hot probably wins.
