Kypreos said “lots of Canadian teams on his NTC”

So he didn’t outright say Kadri nixed it.

Would not want a player that does not want to be here.

Yeah, you'd think Kadri would rather play behind Monahan (and probably ahead of Backlund) than Matthews & Tavares.

Or maybe the thought of playing with Gio makes poor Naz pee himself.

Now that could include the flames obviously, but in terms of actually vetoing a deal, i heard nothing like that.
This, plus if he doesn't want to be traded at all, he could just make really good guesses and list the teams that he thinks would most want him.

That frigin sucks.

He was my main target hopeful, as he just cgecked off so many boxes of what the flames need.

I'm really really sad.... I don't know if there's another player available that improves the flames where i think they need it the most.

Ugh

With ten teams it's pretty easy to make sure you play somewhere you like.

If we're on his NTC list, perhaps there is still a chance he waives for us?

Meh - sounds like fake news

More likely the teams just couldn't quite agree

More like Treliving needs to talk with Kadri and sell him on Calgary and their direction. I don't think this is done yet. It can just take time for the player to waive the condition.

I don’t understand why people are happy this happened. (Rumoured nix)

Great cap hit
Good term
Plays with an edge
Center depth, easily slots in as 2C
50-60 pts easily obtainable
Get rid of Brodie giving room for Andersson to move up

Sure his antics have been questionable at times but he’d make the flames better instantly.
Too bad if true, didn’t specifically say he said no to CGY but I think it’s assumed.

It’s funny all these Toronto players after playing there seem to never want to go to another Canadian team

This is the major question for me as well as presumably the leafs are still trying to drop salary.

“Lots of Candian teams on his list” could mean:
- Edmonton
- Winnipeg
- Ottawa
- Montreal

Why are people jumping to the “Kadri doesn’t want to play in Calgary” conclusion?

Very possible, we've already seen it in the last week.

It might not even have Calgary on it. They never said that, people are just guessing it meant he specifically said no to Calgary.
