The only way to look at the OOT on nights like this is that so long as the Flames control their own destiny it doesn’t matter.

Not to mention the Lightning getting pounded 7-3 by the Yotes. Not a good night for the league's two best teams.

Not to be repetitive....
When and if their high end players decide to consistently play to their capabilities,
they will make the playoffs.

And the Caps lost as well... to New Jersey.
Big yikes for the top 3.

Okay, Bieksa needs to be on these panels every week from now on. "He has a thirst to score and it's not yet quenched." Everyone else at a loss for words. Just a funny guy.

It seemed OOTs were generally really kind to us for the last week or two with our closest competition frequently losing to bad teams. Tonight is just the opposite.

Watching it from the injury replacement...don't think I've seen a performance so dominate since Team Canada in 2014. Right down to the white/red jerseys. TOR looked like Team Liechtenstein out there.
Gotta imagine CAR brings him down as a guest for a home game soon!

Not surprising. Teams go all out with a hockey camp style tryouts in the summer for the emergency goalie spots.

Is it just a coincidence that both Scott Foster and David Ayres wore #90 in their EBUG stints?
Honestly if I'm Tom Dundon, that number is going in the rafters. Buddy guy has as many wins in 2020 as Hank Lundqvist.

David Ayres had as many shots on goal tonight as William Nylander, Freddy Gauthier, Justin Holl, John Tavares, Travis Dermott, Denis Malgin, Rasmus Sandin, and Martin Marincin did combined

what a night in sports.
Leafs lost to a zamboni driver.
Fury knocks out Wilder
Ovy scores his 700th.
Canucks and Yotes rout the NHL's best teams on the same night.

Boston lost 9-3 and that still wasn’t the most embarrassing loss of the night. Lol.

Rumors in Chicago Press have the Canes already negotiating for one of our Goalies...I wouldn't doubt seeing Crawford in a Cane's jersey their next game, as I think that the 'Hawks will try to get him to waive his modified NTC. My feeling is that they will try to keep Lehner as the younger guy.

Canes are in a really bad spot and the Hawks can afford to trade a goalie...........could end up working out well for your team. Be really strange seeing Crawford in a jersey different than the Hawks, though.

The Flames have always been in control of their destiny, they just don't care enough or aren't good enough. They crap the bed too often and shouldn't be depending on other teams to help them. When you're success is measured by others beating your competitors, you're not successful enough.

What about being out of the playoff picture with some of our competitors having games in hand on us gives anyone the impression that this team controls it's own destiny? That's very suspect right now. Lose next game and our destiny is largely out of our control
