Default Ottawa, Florida Games going Ahead 50% capacity

Just got an email saying they will be running the Jan 13th game. They offered people to relinquish their tickets for credit in 22/23. If too many offer they will do a draw.

Yea I offered.

Who the hell wants to go to a game with 50% capacity where you can’t eat or drink?

I know it’s a tough situation but I don’t think any season ticket holder should be forced into paying for these games. The tickets were bought for the purposes of entertainment and I would have a hard time enjoying myself in that setting.

That’s a tough call. I think that I will attend and see how it goes. The email says 50% capacity but no guarantee of socially distanced seating.

I wonder if they filter by seat cost. So cancel the PL seats first as they bring in less total revenue.

I offered my seats up.

It's the Senators, Omicron is going crazy, and no food or beverage? I feel like I should have been given the option to flat out opt out of the game, not just raise my hand.

I have not received an email so I wonder what that means for my tickets? I will have to check with my rep

The email says if more people volunteer to give up their seats than what is necessary, it will be a random draw as to who gets picked. At the same time, if not enough people volunteer, it will be a random draw as to who must give them up.

Seems pretty fair to me; I don’t love getting a credit for next year but there’s a good chance I’ll be renewing anyway…

Canucks game was going ahead until today. I just don't see how Ottawa can keep postponing games

Some people are really attached to their over priced beer and food.

Or we just enjoy each experience at its full effect.

I can’t wait to spend $200 to sit in a half empty barn where I can’t even buy a bottle of water if I get thirsty. I also am pumped I get to drive 25 minutes to get there when I could just sit on my couch and watch on my 85” TV with whatever food and drink I would like.

I never buy food or drinks when going to an event at an arena so it wouldn't bother me.

Nope, it's been atleast 12 years I would say since I've been to Calgary for a game though. I wouldn't mind having one but arena food is so ridiculously priced that I just eat before.

This makes little sense… why would the league postpone a Canucks game at 50% capacity but play in Alberta with the same restrictions?

I’m not a drinker so taking food and snacks away isn’t a huge deal to me. The game is the most interesting part to me.

Before I gave up my season ticket share I stopped buying food and drink. The Bill Smith stuff never sat well with me, so I stopped giving them money I hadn’t already paid out.

When do the Canadian teams start playing their home games in the Visiting team's arena?

What is the comfort level of the Canadian owners losing money as the result of the lockdowns?
