Do they take height into consideration when they give this out or did they just forget that he's too short to be good?

Must be for being good.

Ordinarily, short goaltenders are celebrated in February (the shortest month).

Sadly, Josh Leivo was named Player of the Month.

What's the reason for this post?
It is a fair thing to point out that MOST NHL goalies are a certain height and that prospects who aren't that height are less likely to be successful at the NHL level. There's nothing wrong with people pointing out those things are they are real facts.

Doesn't mean people aren't rooting for Wolf or that he won't buck the trend as he has every step of the way. But if he does - he will be an exception.

That's all people have said.

I’m no goalie expert but those numbers seem pretty good, no?

Almost certain the poster was poking fun at everyone who says he's too short to be a good goalie. You know, a joke.

So poking fun at no one? Because no one actually said that.

The discussion was (a) why he was drafted so low (size was a factor) which then went to (b) why are small goalies drafted lower (because most don’t make it).

No one said Wolf was too short to be a good goalie.

Tough to not be excited about Wolf. These are the types of performances fans crave when they follow their team.

I feel sorry for the cautious and measured crowd who cannot allow themselves to get excited about things like this.

Oh I'm excited. I think he could be a real x-factor for this franchise.
But it isn't a sure thing.
I'm the last guy to be a wet blanket, but I think there's nothing wrong with pointing out that his success would buck the trend.
As I've said - I would not bet against him.

It's been 40 years since we drafted Mike Vernon. Aren't we kind of due here?

If Wolf doesn’t get DaveArt to concoct some sort of Harvey Keitel-themed monstrosity upon his making of the show, he’s ####ing up.

I LOVE Wolf … but man, is he tiny.

My head (and the data) tells me he’s the real deal.
My heart wants nothing more than for him to be the real deal.
But my intuition keeps telling me to remain cautious.

Poor kid gets overlooked a lot and he'll be on a short leash but he's really down to earth.

I'm really excited about Wolf, the fact he wasn't one of the top goalie prospects is even better. I really think he could be the real deal.
