Second periods were our lull period before this year.

Nice that that has turned around.

On average, no period has been consistently poor from this club. Thats a nice change of pace.

Well that was an incredible second period. Dominated the play and drew some well deserved penalties.

Markstrom was good tonight. He was acquired to give them this kind of night in, night out, high level goaltending so that they win the games they outplay the other guys. Good to see.

Just a pretty solid game all around. The Flames have the better roster and while both teams had momentum at times, the good guys got the better of them.

Now they hit a really tough part of the schedule and it's good to be on a bit of a roll coming in.

Sutter will tell them there is only one game that matters and thats the next one.

I suspect he's already mentioned this to the team as they could have easily looked past Chicago tonight and ahead to the coming games against strong teams but clearly did not.

Pretty dominant game overall. A few small hiccups but nothing stood out as horrible. Big statement game, onto the sunshine state!

Happy that Coleman, Monahan and Backlund found their way on the scoresheet. Need to get some more contribution on the scoresheet from them.

Good win, Johnny with another 3 point game and Tkachuk with a goal and an assist as well as an overall good game.

Plus they outshot the Hawks 42-31.

Gaudreau now with 36 points on the season followed by Tkachuk and Lindholm with 28. Lindholm with a goal as well tonight.

That's a pretty solid top line.

Ya that was pretty solid. Lewis first star for me, the insurance goal and a huge block.

Thought Soderblom wasn’t actually that bad but he definitely could have played a bit bigger.

Good to see them getting some of that mojo back. Happy they kept it to one GA as well.

Now we get to see some best-on-best: FLA, TB, and CAR against the road Calgary Flames.

IMO will be more accurate than that Vegas game.

They were clearly gassed in that one.

I really wanted to see the 5 different types of goals in 1 game happen

How often can that happen ?!?!

Some Oiler fans are hoping for Glen Gulutzan to take over as head coach. Those silly, misguided fools!!
