Of course it's bad luck. How many times does the puck get stopped on the goal line?

Best team in the West...Best team in the East.
Best game I’ve seen this year.
Enjoyed it immensely.

The Lindholm line is consistently dangerous but they just don't seem to be that top kind of line that pull out a goal when the team needs it.

Flames play like that the rest of the season and the division is in the bag

Ok, can we just please win in regulation from here on out? Flames must be the worst OT team in the league. This team just has zero awareness about how to play that format. You can tell they really miss guys like Gio and Brodie who could skate like the wind and knew how to manage the puck for 3 on 3.
Other than that I thought the Flames played a terrific game and deserved 2 points. But hey, 1 point against one of the truly elite teams in the league is no small feat. I'll take it. We also gained another point on the stupid Oilers, so all in all, a pretty good night.
The PP really let them down tonight though. Clearly they need to work on that moving forward.

I mean he had a solid game and held them to one goal. I think the OT goal falls into the "would have been nice to have" category rather than soft or anything.

Frustrating way to lose, but it was pretty encouraging to see the Flames head to head against a top team in the league and look every bit as good.
Kind of wondering what Markstrom was doing there but can't complain too much about giving up 2 on the night.
PP needs to heat back up.
Mangiapane should just shoot on his chances... he's a Cy Young candidate and I think that 2 on 1 was a good example of why.
Oh well. Beat the Bruins and all is forgotten and at least they got a point.

He'd be a finalist for the Vezina right now. I'll take that over the alternative.
What a weird game to be calling out the goalie.

Yeah, and a massive fluke... Lindholm knocks the puck off his stick

Still playing well in this losing streak and took a step to breaking it. Going to be a big game against the Bruins to get back in the win column!

This team needs a couple more skilled offensive pieces. one that is a threat to score from anywhere especially.

I thought it was great game played by both teams. Frustrating to see all the bad luck but still happy to get a point out of it.
Flames are playing playoff style hockey and that is good to see at this time in the season.

Markstrom was getting driven into the net as the puck was pinballing around. It was a lucky goal.

Kylington should have been the player on the 4 on 3.

I laughed you mentioned the 4 on 3 twice sandwiched around ripping on Backlund... who drew the power play.
