Flights to Toronto are pretty cheap right now - you could probably get there and back for around $200 all in. But 4 hours in the air plus the added airport times thrown in, and the commute from YYZ to Hamilton, it becomes quite the trek.

Not saying it isn't tempting... But there are so many people that live much closer, so even if it sucks for many, there are at least 6 million people that can do it with relative ease, so this should sell out nearly instantly.

Or we can send the Solomon Islands to Edmonton.

Apparently the playoff is now a single game at a neutral venue. (link)

Kind of sucks as the odds of losing one game against New Zealand or whoever is a lot higher than losing two.

I read somewhere that the playoffs are actually in Qatar.

Arsenal have cleared Marcelo Flores to play for Mexico on December 8th. He was born in Canada and will still be eligible to play for us as this is a friendly, but obviously not the news I think most Canadian soccer fans were hoping for.

Yes, and not only the playoffs but the entire Oceania playoffs will also be in Qatar, here is the draw. Winner plays 4th CONCACAF

A spot just opened up for Arfield, if he can bother getting excited to play for top of the table in CONCACAF...

Ahh that’s brutal for Wotherspoon

I’d rather cap Mitrovic than bring Arfield along

Of all the things that I was fearing could have been in your tweet when I opened it, this wasn't the worst. Huge bummer for Wotherspoon. At his age, that could be a big one to overcome.

So tickets go on sale over the next couple days, for the January games. Has the noble Bob Young, already ensured tickets sold are at 50% capacity?

Among other things that suck about this game being in Hamilton, the tickets are basically double what I paid for Edmonton.

Today’s change in capacity only applied to indoor events

I'm worried how the impending COVID #### storm will impact qualifying. A silver lining could be that some of our tough away venues are empty, or even moved to the US.

The rest of the Ocho is cancelled and qualification will be based on the current standings.
