Well in fairness, senior advisor roles are pretty standard for anyone fired from GM/coaching jobs in the NHL. It doesn't really mean much in a lot of cases. Just a way for the old boys to stay around the game for very little money, so their name is there and they're working around the game when opportunities come up.

Sutter was a senior adviser for the Ducks for a bit before we hired him.
