The Knights are rising again as they get a big win in MSG and are 5-0-1 in their past six games. The 3 stars were all from the Knights with Marchessault being the 1st star by getting a hat trick. Aiden Hill was the 2nd star as he made 36 saves and Barbashev was the 3rd star by assisting on all of Marchessault's goals. Both players had nearly identical ice times.
The Panthers PK was 7/8 and that helped them win in the SO. Bobrovsky was the other reason as he made 35 saves.
The Kings got buried in a 1st period Avalanche and could not dig themselves out of it. Big save Dave Rittich took over in net to start the 2nd period as Talbot let in the 3 first period goals.
Another game where strong play of a goalie was the key to victory. The Blues were out shot by 2-1 margin by the Kraken (36-18). Binnington was playing like it was the 2019 playoffs. Buchnevich had 3 points in the OT win as he scored the tying and winning goals. The Blues finish their 3 game western road trip by winning all of them by the score of 4-3 with the past 2 games in OT. It's gut check time and the Blues have won 4 straight games. Firing their coach in mid season seems to be working like it did in 2019.
