Given the fact that he is being given injections daily, it has to be joint/ligament connected.
I think your observation of a labrum injury could be accurate and I have a feeling it may be both hip and shoulder that need to be done. It could also be one of those and a knee injury as well. When you think about the training for a hockey player, this could be a VERY challenging off-season if he is dealing with both injuries. I am dealing with a hip labrum injury myself and it's hell.
Regardless of his injuries, I think he should have been shut down a little earlier as the season was lost a while ago, probably after the NYI game.
