I finally tried the Hawaiian from POW, wasn't impressed at all. The pineapple was barely cooked when it should really be carmelized, seemed light on the other toppings also. Maybe it was just a bad day but I won't be ordering that again. Funny enough though it had sauce on top.

I had Connie and johns last weekend. Tried both the pepperoni Detroit style (superb) and the margarita NY style (also swell, but not as memorable)

I’ve been trying for three weeks to get a noble pie!! No luck

Wheat Pizza by Jay, my local pizza joint and provider of inches to my waistline, has sold to a new owner.

It's now under the Cheese & Dough banner, which I believe they started as a food truck here in town. Currently it is the same menu and Jay has stuck around a bit to help the transition.

Had it last week, and it's just not the same. Crust was slightly different, toppings seemed less plentiful. It really was just missing the care factor that Jay did so well.

Tried the keto crust at Village Flatbread. It was decent and sort of took care of the pizza craving, but I've make better cauliflower or cheese based crusts at home. It is cool to see places offering some new options. It was very fibrous, rather than all fat, and the flavor was just okay. $27 for a thin 12inch though is pretty steep.

I realllllllly wanted to try Connie and John's detriot style before jumping off of carbs, but could never make it work with my day. That's the one I will go for next.

OK, guys, looking for a quick vote: best pizza (for delivery) South of Anderson?
(as a reference point, I really hate Pizza 73, Boston Pizza and Dominos)...

If you can manage to drive to Woodbine, Gators 2x medium special for $20 is unbeatable. Crispy cheese and buttered crust, Greek style. Gators Hawaiian is great

I've ordered from Crispy Crust Pizzeria twice this month and I think it's my current favourite right now.

Sammy's is good also. Haven't tried Tommy's yet even though it's closer to me then the other two. I will give that a try in the next couple weeks.

Thanks, tried Pizzaberg and it was pretty good, I'd have it again for sure.

I'll give Bravo a try as well

We got pizza from Paul’s last week (I’m Shawnessy), and I thought it was really good. They’ve apparently been a staple in Airdrie for many years.

Ordered from Sammy's. Really good and loaded pizza! No skimping on toppings. Mediterranean was an especial favourite of everyone. Thumbs up and thanks for suggesting.

Connie and John's Pizza - Crust and sauce are both top notch, but the salt levels on the pepperoni pizza are off the charts. Like I couldn't believe that it is humanly possibly to have that much salt on a food item.

Connie/John, your pizza is great, but I'm not ordering from you guys until you sort out the salt issue. The last time I ate there, I swear I instantly gave myself hypertension.

Paul's, Sammy's and Tommy's pizza are my go-to places (south) - all more expensive than the big chains but local, high quality and tons of toppings

It was a Sammy’s Pizza night for us, the whole family loved it as usual.
We try to limit our pizza ordering and we can go 4 months without an order however when we do it’s always special.
