Can a linen shirt be tailored easily? Maybe a silly question.
I have a few Rodd & Gunn numbers I'd like the sleeve length trimmed and the torso slimmed down.

How are you storing your ties? I have an embarrassing amount. I was just slinging them over a coat rack, deep in my old WiC. Not so fortunate to have a WiC in my new place, but I do have two large double door closets to use.
Something to drape over the back of the closet doors?

I don't have too many ties, so I put both belts and ties on a belt ring hanger.

If I had an embarrassing amount of ties though, I'd consider a tie rack/tie hanger or even something snazzy like this:

I’ve a hanging tie rack, but usually I coil them and keep them in a bin (looks like a box on cinnamon buns).

I have one of these, works great and takes very little space.
Slides forward for easy access, then tucks back into the closet.
Not from this company, just an example photo I found online.

Just realized that I have a closet full of dress shirts and dress pants that I haven't worn in almost a year.
I have a nagging feeling they're not going to fit very well once I have to wear them again...

I have an old towel bar for my collection of ties that never get worn anymore.
I remember the days when we wore ties every day. That is the way it was and we liked it!!!!!

I've gained about 15 pounds and a couple inches over the last two months. I'm definitely not happy about it and most of my pants don't fit anymore. I'm hoping that once the spring arrives and life goes back to normal I can drop the inches and fit into a size 32 pant again otherwise I'll have to buy a bunch of new pants in 34.

I had to break down and buy some "fat" work pants. Went to the Gap and bought three pairs of chinos for $17.00 a piece.
Fast fashion is BS, but my thighs don't lie.
In terms of tie rack i have two of these (or something similar)

FWIW, I roll my ties and loosely and keep them in a nice box, but a shoe box works just as well. I have very very limited space in my wardrobe to hang things and back when I had animals I didn’t like anything hanging in the open.

If you're 30 inch in length, then I got some dress pants and khakis for ya.
I did the same thing as you a few years back, but am back to a 32 now.
JK, I just got laid off and don't need them anymore.

30 is too short for me. Ideally I'm a 33 in length but that hard tough to find.

You'll laugh, but we have a teak wardrobe in our bedroom, and I store my ties nicely folded and displayed in two of the drawers. Not that I ever wear ties.

For anyone looking for suites, Harry Rosen has had some pretty incredible sales lately. They've got an extra 20% off already reduced suits. Canalis for under $1000.
