Flames Grill now open at YYC Airport
https://www.nhl.com/flames/news/clea...ff/c-310123542
Hope the food isn't terrible:

The Calgary Flames, with YYC and global restaurateur HMSHost, cut the ribbon today for the grand opening of Flames Grill at YYC Calgary International Airport. Flames Grill is one of 50 new eating and shopping options at the airport as part of a two-year project intended to improve airport guests' experience.
"Flames Grill will provide Calgary travellers with the ultimate sports themed dining experience each time they visit the airport," said Ziad Mehio, Vice-President, Food & Beverage and Information Technology, Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation. "While our priority is a relaxing environment during your travel day, sports fans won't miss a moment of their favourite teams' action with large TV screens keeping fans engaged in everything Flames including all live sporting events."

Quote:
The Flames retro themed restaurant coincides with Calgary's 40th season celebrations. As patrons walk in they immediately will feel part of the team. Some design aspects incorporate the actual Flames locker room as well life size images of players current and past, allowing fans to enjoy the tremendous history of the franchise. In addition, fans of all of CSEC teams including Hitmen, Stampeders and Roughnecks, can celebrate their favourite local team with special features during their respective seasons. And as a benefit of being a season ticket holder of any CSEC teams, season ticket holders will receive a 20% discount by showing their membership card.

Yep, there's nothing quite like the ambience and unique aromas of the locker room to whet people's appetites.

It's no Chili's, but I'm sure it's fine.

Nothing more frustrating than watching sports at an airport. Inevitably you have to leave for your gate when the game gets interesting.

Ate there on Sunday. They were still having trouble getting their TVs all set up, which caused some problems when different people were asking for Sunday Night Football, the baseball game, and the Flames. Service was pretty good though. The menu is small and the prices are typical airport high, but the food is decent.

The James Neal steak: ridiculously expensive, cooked extra rare to match his goal output. If you don't like it you can trade it in for the Lucic burger and get an additional 12.5% off

What about a nice simple Hamonic and cheese sammy? Goes well with a Derek Ryan coke.

Is the Sean Monahamburger just a plain patty on a toasted bun?

I don't like to drink before I fly. I'll stick with that Johnny Good-eau.

Yeah, Ryan's a Mormon. Not sure he'd greenlight an alcoholic drink.
Is Dr. Pepper kosher? No idea.

Hope it’s better than the Habs and Canucks Grill at the Montreal and Vancouver airports. They are bad.
