Well the closest thing I found on Google is that Crosby signed a $10 million endorsement deal with Nike in 2010 and I don't remember ever seeing him in a Nike ad, whereas Crosby and MacKinnon are in almost every Tim Hortons ad. So, if they are paying them less than $1 million, they're getting a bargain

Last year Crosby earned a total of $4.0 m in endorsements from deals signed with Adidas, CCM, Tim Hortons and Gatorade.

I doubt that Tim Horton's share of that is much more than $1.0 m.

I just picture him rushing all over the place really quickly trying to serve customers as fast as he can, but constantly dropping coffees on the floor.

Does Brashear qualify for the NHLPA pension? Forget what the minimum games played is, but I imagine he's doing fine if so.

He played over 1,000 games. Pretty sure he's over the minimum.

I want to say 400 games, though I am not sure if there are progressive levels. Whatever it is, I am sure Brashear gets the max.

It's hard to see a former NHLer reduced to this sort of menial labor.
Could be worse though.
I hear Mike Commodore is now working at Sportsnet 960 radio.

What a shame. I was always a fan of these type of players watching hockey in the 80's, 90's, and somewhat 2000's. He was a very game fighter and tough as hell. I remember him and Domi going at it and seeing what a size difference there was between the 2. Hope he can get back on track.

Maybe Brashear is just trying it out to see if he wants to own a franchise of his own one day. It's not uncommon for ex-sports guys to want to own and run a franchise.
For example, I believe Rico Fata owns a Tim Hortons in Sault Saint Marie. And Tim Hortons was actually founded by NHLer player Johnny Bower. So there's lots of tradition in there.
