Semifinal Differences!

SEVEN differences in the first semifinals, just two in the 2nd.

We could have our first ever TIE since both picked the same score, Chicago 3-2.

ya-hoo... I'm glad I changed my pick to the LAK... odd number of differences is always better... and 7 differences is great

Kings up 3-1 after two, as well. VAN beating up NSH, though.

VAN not winning anymore..

The NYI-PHI game is key, still scoreless with 5 minutes left.

Looks like PG is up 3-0. JK needs to now run the table.

Cheerio is also up 1.

There seriously might be a tie with Cheerio and devo!

Oh but devo would win because the Vancouver margin trumps the St. Louis margin right?

Still early, small leads and last game is still 2-2.

The 2nd game is tied.

Each have one margin

Cheerio (STL 2)
Devo22 (VAN 1)

VAN 1 is MA3 and has more priority.

Only way Cheerio can win now is if Toronto wins by 2

5-2, Avs win...I don't feel bad cheering for them, in this case...Flames have no excuse beating out these guys for a playoff spot...at least that's the story I'll go with for now

Our on-site reporter ChaCha Ice caught up with devo22 after his night of partying in Phoenix last night.

Name: devo22
Age: 26
City/Country: Salzburg/Austria

How did you choose your username?: Boyd Devereaux haha. Always liked the guy despite the fact that he only suited up for teams I hate - can't really explain it. He wasn't a great NHLer by any means, but he always came back from long injuries and always came back from the minors. Funniest thing was when he scored a hattrick for the Leafs in his last NHL game and the Leafs fans hated him for that because they won and subsequently slipped one spot in the draft and couldn't draft the second Schenn.

1. You are one of the newest participants on the Hockey Prognosticating Tour and you reached the World Junior final and won the All-Star Special. You are now in another final, this time against the #1 PlayfulGenius, how will you prepare?
Same preparation as always - hang a copy of the gamelist on the wall, knock away a few beers and throw darts at the gamelist. Then ignore what I hit, knock away some more beers and pull teams out of a hat. Then ignore the results again, knock away even more beers and just choose randomly. Works every time.

2. Why did you start playing HPT? Which things you like and dislike in HPT and do you have any suggestions to improve the tour?
Seemed like an easy way to get my 15 minutes of fame. The limelight, you know? Money, chicks, parties ... too bad I sucked at the GS though - the main events are what it's all about and I kinda faltered. But the fans still love me, so I'm good with that. No suggestions for the tour, I like it the way it is.

3. Which player do you think could challenge for the #1 spot from now until the year-end championships in April.
PlayfulGenius can't win all the Grand Slams, and if he does, I demand a doping test. Maybe one of the other guys behind can string together a few good results. However, they can all be relieved that I didn't start HPT at the beginning of the season. Maybe next year ...

4. What have you been eating in Phoenix - steak, Mexican food, or something healthy?
Steak obviously, what else?

Thanks devo22, stay tuned for more interviews in upcoming events
