As is the the norm with that #### show of a franchise. Also liked how they included the McDiver post in OT as part of the play of the game like the actual OT goal was just an afterthought.

The Sharks and Stars are tied 0-0 early in the second period with only eight shots on goal.

Meier scores to tie the game at 1-1 heading into the third period.

The Sharks always look good when I watch them.
Just a couple weeks ago people were saying with certainty that both WCs would be from the central. Funny.

Dallas has taken quite a tumble lately losing three straight against team who they are basically in direct competition with. They look to be just as wildly inconsistent as every season. Minnesota looks pretty bad at times as well. It might turn around, but as it is right now, it's not out of the question that both wild cards go to the Pacific. The narrative that the Pacific is terrible and Central awesome needs to be put to rest.

Yes
Clearly the Metropolitan division is the worst in the NHL both in quality and name

Nothing special in the Coyotes-Sabres game except that the Sabres opened the scoring 48 seconds into the game as they went on to win. The Sabres play well on home ice as their record is now 11-3-2.
The BJs beat the Kings with Panarnin scoring 2 goals and Atknison with 2 assists. The Kings scored 4 minutes into the game and that was it for them. Quick faced 41 shots and kept his team close until the BJs scored 2 goals in 20 seconds in the later stages of the 3rd period.
The Hurricanes and Habs had a wild 3rd period as both teams combined to score 7 goals! It was scoreless after the 1st period and then 2-1 for Montreal after 2 periods. The offensive onslaught began just 23 seconds into the 3rd period when Carolina's Svenchnikov scored to tie the game. Gallagher scored 22 seconds later to have the Habs retake the lead. The Hurricanes were perfect on the PK as the Habs went 0 for 6 on the PP.
What a return for Vasilevskiy to be in net for the Lightning after recovering from a fractured foot. The guy faces 49 shots and made incredible saves with almost half of those shots in the 2nd period. The Lightning scored 2 goals in 34 seconds in the final minute of 2nd period. That should've sunk the Leafs, but no, the Leafs out shot Tampa 16-2 in the 3rd period!
The Canucks sort of copied what the Flames did last night by coming back from a 2 goal deficit in the 3rd period and getting into OT. The difference here is that the Canucks lost in OT. The whacked out stat for the Canucks is that all 3 of their goals were on special teams, 1 PPG and 2 SHGs. The tying goal was a SHG after the Predators were called for icing. Too bad this was a 3 point game with the Predators winning. Thanks for nothing Cannots.
It's also a bummer the stupid Oilers-Jets game went into OT and did not make it to the SO. Morrisey's GWG puts the Jets into a tie with the Flames, just 1 point back of the Predators for 1st place in the western conf. The Sharks 3-2 reg win puts them 3 points back of the Flames and Jets and 4 back of the Predators.

i will say that that seeing these bad OOT is so much better looking from the top, than it is from the bottom trying to chase 6 teams.

Pretty bad game by the Oilers, lucky to get the point. Missing 3 of your top 5 D man isn't a recipe for success thats for sure.

Darnell Nurse is the new McDavid.
Over 31 minutes in this game.
Yikes.
