Default Sushi Platter for Party Recommend Sushi Shop

Looking for a sushi platter for a gathering 20 people.
More traditional Japanese style sushi.
Any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated.

Sukiyabashi Jiro is a pretty good place in Tokyo. You might have to order the platter 3-4 months in advance.

Every sushi place in town does Sushi party platters. But Yume is likely the cheapest. And the quality is decent.

This is nuts. 110 pieces of sushi and sashimi for $100?? That's an amazing deal.

Me too... yet we have two people recommending them.

I dunno. Still seems... fishy.

Big Catch is amazing.

I have to rebuke your suggestion of Sushi & Co., homestand. It used to be so great, but they sold years ago and have never been the same since. The last 4 or 5 times I went there, they were serving garbage. Couldn't bring myself to go back.

I'll vouch for Yumi. It used to be my go-place and it's pretty good.

What do you order at each place?

I have only been to Big Catch once? On a Sunday. Maybe they were running low on inventory, but the portions were small. When there is slice of fish that it is so thin that you cannot even get a sense of the flavour, I do not usually return.

It's about as good as the stuff from any grocery store or mall. The fish is reasonably fresh, but it just seems to be missing taste.

That and they skimp on the soy sauce packets.

Thank you for all the suggestions and comments
I ordered a 55pc sushi platter from Daruma (Japanese Cuisine Daruma) located in Bridgeland. Its a very small unremarkable looking shop run by Atsushi-san.
The food is typical/authentic Japanese.
The sushi platter was quite good and included
Nigiri (toro/tuna, sake/salmon, hamachi/amber jack, kanpachi/yellow tail, ika/squid....) and
Maki (ume/pickled plum, kuri/cucumber, toro/tuna.......)
The price was not as good as the other suggested options $100 for 55pcs (approx $1.85/pc)
I wanted to have typical Japanese style sushi so I did not include north american style rolls and maki like Dynamite rolls, etc.
I have limited experience eating sushi in Calgary so not really able to compare to many other shops.
Daruma is good Japanese food. http://darumacalgary.com/
The sushi was good, fresh and flavourful.

(not sure if web links are posted correctly)

Thanks again for the suggestions
