Wouldn't be surprised after three CL titles in a row. How can you top that?

Pretty awesome to be able to walk on his terms though. The pressure on the next guy is going to be immense.

This seems like a ridiculously preemptive "You can't fire me, I quit!" situation. I mean lest we forget there was talk Zidane might get fired when Madrid were struggling back in the fall and early winter. Perez is who he is and now Zidane is the first to leave Madrid on his own. Even despite three CLs in a row, Zidane was always gonna be flirting with being fired simply because of who his boss is.
As far as his boss goes, who is there to get as a replacement? Low? Wenger? Big Sam? And with a new manager, good chance we see a hectic window for Madrid as well. So interesting summer ahead to say the least.

I think it's incredibly smart. Go out on top, let another manager fall on the sword of an inevitable rebuild, don't get sacked and be seen as a legend. Hats off.
Guti seems to be the favourite right now.

I'm actually glad he's leaving like this. He's probably my favourite player of all time, so getting out before the Bernabeu turns on him is smart.
Next year was going to be a rough one regardless.

Yeah, its brilliant. Tough league season, but 3 CL wins in a row.

Yeah smart by Zidane. Ronaldo/Bale might move on. You've won 3 CL in a row, and really have nothing else to prove at RM.
Interested to see where he ends up though.
PSG? French National Team? Juventus (if Allegri moves to Madrid)?

Four?
Ronaldo will stay he's just a whining whiner.
Back up the Brinks truck for Bale and voila, a fourpeat.

Can you blame him? Every time he whines he gets paid more money.
He whines and gets a raise. Its like having a trained dog.

Is it really about money for Bale at this point? I think he wants to go somewhere that he can play instead of sitting on the bench, or at least that is what his comments after the final seemed to suggest.

Bale might end up staying. Zidane leaving is the writing on the wall that Benzema will be moved on from. There's Bale's play time right there. Zidane loved Benzema.
I wouldn't be surprised if early discussions around Benzema being moved out acted as the impetus for Zidane's decision.

So basically I'm saying Zidane is gunning for Deschamps job and Benzema will play on the National team again until he's 40.

Sounds like Deschamps sees the writing on the wall

That is a great quote from the man leading the French squad in 2 weeks.
I imagine his pregame:
Well guys, I know I won't be here very long, but lets go out there and have some fun! Just kinda do the stuff you do with your clubs. Rock, paper, scissors between yourselves for who should start.

What are the players going to do? Go on strike again?

And lets be honest, it's not like he's diminished his reputation as a phenomenal leader of men which never existed.

The French have a phenomenal team with a lot of talent being led by someone whom I believe uses a Yahtzee cup to set his starting XI.

Rumors are now that Qatar have offered Zidane 200 MILLION EUROS! to coach Qatar in their home world cup.
https://www.football-espana.net/7189...ane-200m-offer
France can wait.
