It's been a long off season and it's finally happening. There's a lot of interesting stories to start the year and it'll be fun to watch everything play out.
I'm very excite!

So, after tonight there will be eight teams that have yet to start the season?
*EDIT* Seven, actually: Chicago, LA, Detroit, Philadelphia, NYI, NJ, CBJ.

Y ou are correct. It is very strange that so many teams are starting later. The Blackhawks and Flyers have a good excuse as they play each other in the Czech Republic tomorrow. The Kings and Red Wings play their first game on Saturday.

This Winnipeg v. NYR game looks interesting. First NHL games for super-prospect Kaapo Kakko and Adam Fox. First games for UFAs Trouba and Panarin.

Canes look good tonight. Price off to a rough start. I’m sure he’ll be amazing 15 games in.

Crazy Jets lost Myers, Trouba and Byfuglien in one offseason.

Predictably hellebuyck has been garbage, but I wasn't expecting the skaters to be as good as they have been so far. With any kind of mediocre goaltending the Jets are up three nothing or maybe three one tops. Brossoit needs to be in net.

Giving up on your number one goalie half way through the first game?
Goals didn’t look that bad to me. He had no chance on the Trouba goal. A but unlucky on the first and Panarin was a PP where Panarin got a perfect bounce.

His body of work since the Vegas series 2 seasons ago has been a downward path.
