Their defense may be a bit thin at the bottom end, but that is one solid and deep Avs team otherwise.
Good test for the guys to open things up.

I'm really hoping the Flames don't lay a stinker tonight as is tradition with Flames' season openers. Lots of talk about how the players have a sour taste in their mouth from last season's playoff series. No better way to rinse it out then to get right back at it against the team who beat them.
I never thought I would ever say this, but I'm looking forward to seeing how Lucic fits in and if he can bring an extra dimension to the team.
