MATCHUP
(courtesy of TheScore app. Sorry for the bad cropping, Flames info on the left, Kings on the right)
My two cents:
Could be a ugly game with not much flow. Both teams have lousy special teams, meaning both PKs could have great games because of the lousy PPs each team has, or both PPs could break through against subpar PK play. I suspect the PKs will win out due to goaltending, but maybe it will be a barn burner instead. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Prediction: Flames 3-1. Carter with the lone goal for the Kings. Backlund with a shorty, Giordano on the powerplay, and Gaudreau into the empty net.
GO FLAMES GO!

Reason: Lines and pairs updated

Darryl has them playing hard. They either aren't getting a lot of puck luck around the net or are really lacking finish. I imagine it's somewher in between. If the Flames could get out to an early lead that would help them greatly in winning this one.
Flames win 5:2. Both Gaudreau and Monahan score. Doughty fights Giordano in an epic third period bout.

I thought Versteeg was injured. Guess I should update myself better.
He is. I just didn't update the lineups with a placeholder or unknown because I'm not sure what the combos will be. Yesterday it sounded like F. Hamilton and Grossmann will draw in, but I'm not sure how that will impact the line combos and defence pairings.
Really hoping Kulak plays again tonight. Not holding my breath though.
Not if it means he's taking Jokipakka's spot.

Agreed, but I don't really see that happening. It's Grossmann or Kulak in my mind.
To elaborate, Kevin is more physical, has more experience and has seen a lot more ice than Kulak this season. Don't see a coaching staff sitting him for Kulak. I want them both to play though.
The legend of Jokipakka grows day by day for an unknown reason.
I don't get it....
