I was hoping for someone bigger to outspend the oil teams.

Completely out of left field. Set a new bar.

well as someone who doesn't want to be owned by an oil state, an absolute lunatic or another American leech, I would be more than fine with Ratcliffe tbh.

Gotta up the game.

Bunch of boys in Sinaloa with money to burn.

Not to mention they'd get the refs back under control.

It's actually mind bottling.

I do enjoy watching Kane have to track back to his own goal line to grab a ball or Loris hoofing it to him and hoping he does something magical though. What a great way to utilize Harry Kane.
This is exactly it.

At 2-0 up we looked comfortable, but I didn’t feel comfortable because I know what the Spurs forwards are capable of in a very short space of time. But Conte had them playing with both hands behind their backs.

At 2-0 down he should’ve had his team go for it, but he was like Sutter putting Lucic out there when chasing the game.

Well in all honesty, Ramsdale made a few big stops to keep things 2-0. I'm not suggesting we were close to getting something, but that's the exact frustration wit this team this year. Obviously, us conceding first time and time again is a major problem. But aside from that, someone makes a dumb play of some kind that costs us a goal (this week it was Lloris, but it's been Dier or others in the past). And the team has a mentality of just folding at that point, until the second half where they can string together 15-20 minutes and maybe get back into things. Rinse and repeat...always repeat.

And that's the concern with burning it to the ground and rebuilding. Like Son scored 22 goals last year and looked great. This year, here's brutal. There are rumours about why that is (away from the pitch), but undoubtedly a part of that is Conte and the system. He's handcuffed. I get that he's a year older and maybe loses a step, but there's clearly more to it. So, you sell him and goes to some other club and lights it up. Same for Kane, who will probably team up with Eriksen again at United and score plenty.

Probably the most nonchalant pitch invader and stewards reaction I've ever seen.

Selfie with Casemiro who obliges then jogs off.

Plenty of time for more selfies on Sunday as he now misses that a game.

well that's two points lost, plus Casemiro for the weekend. Disappointing ... not even the "we'll show you 9th place Liverpool vs 10th place Chelsea on Saturday" announcement on Sky can cheer me up.

Just felt that equalizer was coming. But that's as good a fk as you'll see.

^ Thought you'd have been here to post the clear and obvious penalty that VAR missed.

Well officiated match, zero issues whatsoever.

You don't think it was a clear and obvious penalty?

Is the ref/4th official's explanation that, the tiny poke was sufficient for a tackle, after Mctominay side-footed it?

Is there actually any contact there? I wasn’t watching so not sure if there were other angles, but it’s hard to tell from that clip if there was contact or not.

Doesn't get the ball.
2nd angle on the clip clear contact right leg to left leg.

Yeah that ones tough.

One angle makes it look like he got a slight contact on the ball - but no real contact on the player.

Other angle makes it look like no contact on the ball - with a little contact on the player.

50/50 IMO and I could see why VAR would feel like evidence wasn't conclusive.

To be honest I think Man U got a favourable call against Man City, and maybe a less favourable call today...balances out in the end.

For me, that wasn't enough contact to be a foul; it's not because he got the ball or not.
But I've seen plays like that called penalties before, so it's 50/50.

That free kick was spectacular, inch perfect.
Vieira's club doing what they can to protect Arsenal's lead at the top.

Now do Spurs try and do the same tomorrow? Or throw the game to try and hurt Arsenal?

“Throw the game”? You’ve seen us play recently, so I’m not sure that they need to actively take a dive! That said, we seem to get results against City, and if there was a season we’d do it, it would be now.
