Some interesting tidbits from the 2020 AO draw:

Nadal in top half with Medvedev. Could play Kyrgios or Khachanov in the 4th round.

Felix and Pospisil could also meet in the 4th round but Pospisil has Karlovic in the 1st round.

Thiem and Wawrinka are also in the top half.

Djokovic and Federer are in the bottom half of the draw.

Shapo could face Federer in the 4th round.

Raonic could play Tsitsipas in the 3rd round with the winner playing Djokovic in the quarters.

Goffin is in the bottom half

Genie plays Martina Trevisan in her final qualification match (currently ranked #154).

Other items of note:

Vasek plays Dr. Ivo in his first round match of the Aussie Open (winner likely to face Monfils in round 2)

Denis will play Fucsovics in round 1 and if wins that match could face the young Italian Jannik Sinner who won the ATP NextGen tourney.

Aside from Felix in Adelaide, Gaby Dabrowski and her partner (at least for this tourney Darija Jurak) are in the women's doubles final and their opponents are Nicole Melichar and Gaby's former partner Xu Yifan.

Dabrowski actually tried to qualify in singles! She even won a match but lost the second. She has a singles ranking of 435

Leylah Annie Fernandez won her second qualifying match 6-4 6-4 and is one win away from the Aussie Open main draw.

Well, no more Canadian men will be joining Milos, Denis, and Felix playing singles at the Aussie Open this year as both Steven Diez and Brayden Schnur lost their 2nd round
qualifying matches.

Well at least we now know one man who will be in the singles final of the 250 Adelaide Open. Lloyd Harris continues his dream rum here as he just knocked off Tommy Paul 6-4, 6-7 (7-3), 6-3.

Now we wait with baited breath to see whether he'll face our own FAA or Russian ballbasher Angrey Rublev.

Yup. Genie is back.

FAA and Rublev are going to a third and deciding set. Rublev won the first set in a tie-breaker while Felix won set 2 in a tie-breaker (he was down 4-1 but rallied to win it 9-7)

Well, Rublev won the 3rd set 6-4 and took the match, but it was great tennis from Felix (he played much better than he did at the ATP Cup). The only concern is that he did grab his hamstring late in the match, hopefully it's nothing.
