Marek Hrivik (CGY) has also been placed on waivers today.


Looks like he is healthy after a concussion in training camp. Waivers needed to assign to Stockton.

And no this doesn't free up a roster space for Jankowski. I can't remember which but Hrivik was non-roster injury or on IR so he didn't count towards the 23 man roster limit.

Fully expected once he was healthy.

It doesn't free up roster space at the NHL level, but it does provide Stockton with an adequate top line center to replace Jankowski should he be called up in the future.

I didn't mind Hrivik at all in preseason. He looked pretty good with Backlund and Frolik. If Jankowski gets a permanent spot and there are more injuries, Hrivik is a decent, safe callup.

He was surprisingly serviceable during the preseason. I'm disappointed that the league didn't take a look at that nasty hit from Trouba though. Warranted some kind of punishment in my opinion.

Hrivik not yet assigned to the minors Mark Streit has. A little impatient perhaps but maybe a trade in works like when Vegas traded Pickard to Toronto after he cleared?
Some other minor league depth guy and a late round pick coming back?. Probably get confirmation he is on his way to Stockton after I finish typing this.

Yes Hrivik has already been assigned to Stockton according to the AHL transactions page

I think Hrvik is good enough to help a few teams. But he's really under the radar.
