That decent defence and good goaltending has given up more goals this year than every team save one.

Chicago has lost something like 18 straight road games.

This was one of the Flames worse games of the year, considering the roster they played.

Marky stole one for sure.

Of late, they are playing tight. The great Oilers only best them 2-0

Just saying they aren't one of the worst rosters of all time, heck they aren't even the worst rosters this season

That was a very uninspiring victory. Markstrom was incredible and if he even let in every third breakaway I think the crowd would have been booing the boys in black.

Coronato really seemed to struggle today. Could just be an awkward fit with Lindholm and Sharangovich, but you'd think that a weaker line up like Chicago would be a game where he might shine.

I did run into someone from the team and they said they just finished two days of pro scouting meetings. I did not get the impression whatsoever that management lacked any sense of direction or that they were waiting to see if the team could claw back into the race, so I was a bit encouraged after that.

Ditto.

Just not here. He deserves to win something.

Yeah, they have only allowed 24 non-empty net goals in their last 10 games. That is an impressive number for any team.

Their problem is they've only scored 11.

Millen also kept bringing up the size and reach of their D. I wouldn't have really noticed that unless it was mentioned, but they all do seem to possess that characteristic, other than Korchinski I guess.

I'm certain he would have shot if we were up 2-0.

A player must be in the AHL at the NHL trade deadline in order to be eligible to play in the AHL playoffs.

This is just for cap space... also, Coronato is supposed to play in the AHL All-Star Game, which is February 5 in San Jose. The Flames next game is in Boston on the 6th, so he still might not be available for the ASG.

Tanev was awesome on After Hours. What a warrior and prototypical hockey player. He will bring a good return for this team, and they may be able to re-sign him this summer.

This game reminded me of that game against the Flyers the night they traded Jokinen and Prust to the Rangers. Everybody knew it was coming and the give a bleep meter was at -100.

Nobody played a good game except Markstrom. Sloppy performances from everyone. If it was a game against anyone else but the Rockford Ice Hogs, the Flames would have lost by a massive amount.

The sword of Damocles is about to fall and the sooner the better so the team can move forward.

A perfect opportunity over the next two weeks to really get in contact with other GM's to start finalizing trades. It just needs to happen.

Markstrom was the reason to stay with this game.

Two points we don’t need and most of our skaters didn’t deserve.
