On a night where there were a couple guys who had their asses handed to them across the league, I have to agree with Brian Burke...
It's a real problem the Flames don't have someone on the ice to match that. That same event could happen to Dube could happen to so many players on this team...
Who do we have to answer the bell?
That and it was a huge momentum shift

Hamonic was fantastic last night. He was one of the few Flames who was skating.
If the rest of the team showed the same level of GAF as he showed, the outcome would have been different.
It takes a lot of courage to drop the gloves against someone who's clearly out of your weight class.

Maybe the solution is to simply not pick a fight with a big man so you can avoid your face being used as a punching bag? These fights are good for nobody as head trauma is simply bad. Good for Hamonic that he doesn't have a broken jaw but he's lucky not to suffer a needless concussion. Football is now penalizing any hits to the head yet bare knuckle punches to the face are somehow still acceptable in the NHL. Fighting's days are numbered in the NHL.

Gubrandson is big and slow. Don’t fight him. Shoot the puck into his corner and have guys paste him when he struggles to retrieve the puck.

He says it's just a little swollen

Prout would draw in for Valimaki, not Stone.

Man do I miss that man. An absolute unit. I think he was the scariest man in the NHL while he was here.

See, this is what gets you in trouble. You seem to only know how to speak in absolutes. Is this your opinion, or do you have a direct line to Bill Peters and know this?

Send Lazar down and bring up Peluso and play him and Prout against divisional rivals. Thats the only way to stop teams from trying to hurt the skilled players. We Can't have guys like Hamonic getting hurt fighting these guys.

Good on Hamonic for sticking up for Dube hit especially being outsized. His jaw will be swollen short term but long term it'll help team when they stick up for each other.
Hamonic can play on my team anyday.

Worse than Valamki-Stone was last night? -2 each in 10/12 minutes of ice.

Doubt it. Both Prout and Stone are RHD and I don’t think either would be trusted playing their off side.

yes because Valimaki is better than Prout.
Andersson is better than Prout and Stone but coaches will never trust two rookie defenders on the same pair.

If they were going to keep a 3rd D up to play his off side in cases like this, Andersson would still be here.
Prout would step in for Stone.

Prout, Stone, Andersson, and Hamonic are all right hand shots.
