This is why it was very foolish to trade Michael Ferland. Nothing but a young, fit, strong native boy. These native boys like Ferland are built real tough and don't back down and have no fear. Not to mention he had the skill as well.
Btw Ferland had a goal and an assist tonight in Carolinas 3-0 win.

I think this was from the 2008 WHL finals. Kelowna vs Hitmen. We fell down 3-0 then won the next 2 and almost won the third to tie it at 3 but Kelowna ended up winning in OT. Kelowna had a nice team. Backlund, BennyBaller and Tyler Myers. I remember Myers just dominated I'm this series and throughout 08 WHL playoffs he really was a man among boys.

Ferland has concussion history. He's a bad fight away from permanent damage. Let's send him out against a guy who has as big a size advantage over him as Hamonic.

Ferland was invisible 90 percent of the time and was never seen as a nuclear deterrent to other teams.

per Eric Francis, Hamonic had surgery on his jaw. Two metal plates involved.
1 week before he can do anything.
4-5 weeks before he comes back.

Because having Ferland would have stopped Hamonic from being punched in the back of the head during a fight?

Great opportunity for Rasmus to establish himself in the NHL. Thank god they didn't trade Stone.

Who comes out?
You'd think one of Valimaki or Andersson, but they have done nothing but improve game over game and played very well. Stone has been fairly solid.
Brodie is really the only one who has made glaring gaffes, but it would be pretty hard to keep him in the pressbox.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Still wearing the facial shield, and getting into his first real practice in a few weeks. Do you think he plays tomorrow or do they hold him out another game or two?

I would be ok with Stone coming out.

The Flames would be wise to keep Hamonic sidelined for absolutely as long as possible with how well the rookies are playing. I will be surprised if he makes a return tomorrow or even this week. There is presently not a lot of urgency to get him back in—which is a very nice problem to have.

Stone would have to be the guy coming out right?
I wonder if Hamonic will move up to the top pair once he is healthy and had a couple games to get back in the swing of things?
Gio-Hamonic
Hanifin-Andersson
Valimaki-Brodie

I don't believe Brodie will be away from the top line for very long.

He's practicing with Prout today, so it's unlikely he'll play tomorrow. It'll probably be one of the home games later this week.

Andersson is up on an injury-replacement recall, so someone will have to go back to Stockton once Hamonic is activated. They'd have to waive Prout (or anyone else) to send him down. Either Andersson or Valimaki can be sent down without waivers.
Valimaki can only play one more game before they burn his contract for the season. With the way he's been playing, I can't see him being sent down.
I'd say it's a 99% chance that Andersson is sent down when Hamonic is cleared to return.

Harmonic isn’t likely fighting any time soon. Is just having Peluso around sufficient for this coach and GM?
If not, does that mean that Prout sticks around as 7th? Andersson might be going all the way back to the AHL.
Barring any further injuries, these decisions will really shed light into the priorities of Peters and BT. It’s crazy that we already shed Kulak this year, and there’s still a glut.

Hamonic stays out until necessary. I'd sit Stone if I could but I guess Andersson has to go down. It's better long term anyway because I don't care if Prout sits, but Andersson needs to play.

Why would you sit Stone. He's been better than quite a few of the other D-men, most notably, Brodie.
