Is this ever going to be on TV again? Unless they blur the flag on the top of the Challenger, I’m guessing not.
I don't think people are really that sensitive to it, it's quite a difference when it's municipalities and state governments that are flying and honouring it.

Not a traditional opening credits, but Peaky Blinders' use of Red Right Hand in different ways as a motif at the beginning of episodes is one of my favorite openings. I love seeing how they work it in.
When I was going down the rabbit hole of Canadian television that I remember from my childhood, I think I found what may be the worst opening credit sequence ever:
The Perfect Strangers theme is so synonymous with that feeling of not having school the next morning that hearing it brings me a legitimate feeling of excitement.

I normally prefer when shows skip the credits and get right into things. It takes an excellent opening credits for me to not fast forward or go grab a beer.
My all time favourite is The Wire. I love how the changed the artist every season. Honorable mentions go to Doctor Who, Fresh Prince, The Muppet Show, The Simpsons, and Game of Thrones.
As a kid I liked Ninja Turtles, Darkwing Duck, and Captain Planet.
A few contemporary ones I like are Rick and Morty, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and the Marvel Netflix shows.
