I don't know much about Hawkeye or Kate Bishop outside of the MCU, but I really like Hawkeye inside the MCU if that counts for anything.
Spoiler!
Also this new (to me) angle of super heroes getting old and broken is pretty cool. I mean the guy's human at the end of the day, so it makes obvious sense in hindsight -- just not something I would typically think about.
Anyway, happy new episode day everyone! I'm enjoying this one even more than Loki, and I really liked Loki.

Hawkeye has been okay for me so far. After watching Loki and what was at stake, going to this storyline just feels insignificant
Also, after watching ep 4, it's nice to see Renner getting some action scenes. I figured they've let Old man Renner get his rest while the stuntmen do all the work

Spoiler!
Glad i watched that Black Widow movie. Looks like the little sister is getting some revenge sooner than I thought
So they've already passed the torch (or shield) for Captain America, it looks likely they're doing the same for Hawkeye and Black Widow, I wonder what they're going to do with Iron Man. I know War Machine is getting his own series, but the Iron Man character is too popular now for Marvel to let him sit idle for too long in the MCU. Did Tony Stark ever give the Iron Man title to anyone else in the comics? I never really followed his character too closely
Hailee Steinfield was a strong choice for the role, but I don't know if her character is going to be an ongoing thing as she seems to be tremendously busy.

I dont know about the Comics, but all indications seem to point to Peter Parker.
He seems to have many of the attributes of Iron Man save the material wealth.
He was using the suit that Iron Man built for him, similar intellect and by all appearances was the primary character that Tony took under his wing.
Further, it would allow them to move 'Spider Man' to one of the many variants, such as Miles Morales, while Peter sort of moves up.
But who knows?

Isn't Spider-Man supposed to be this phase's Iron Man?

War Machine was Ironman during the demon in a bottle story line. Iron Heart aka Riri Williams, a young lady who in the comics ran around in a suit almost identical to Tony's for a couple years and was mentored by an AI version of Tony. Dr. Doom also took the mantle of Ironman for a bit, but his armor was silver with a green cloak.
But Locke is right about Spider-Man seeming to be his successor in the MCU atleast until Ironheart is introduced in the next year or so.
Isn't Spider-Man supposed to be this phase's Iron Man?
Probably. Tom Holland just signed on for at least 3 more films. Not sure if those will be stand-alone Spidey adventures or ensemble Avengers movies, but it sounds like this version of the character will be around for a while longer.

Ya it's clear that he'll be the new face of the Avengers, but I don't see Marvel simply dropping the Iron Man character completely from the movies. Thanks to RDJ he's probably their 2nd most popular character now after Spider-Man. It would be neat to see Peter Parker take on that role completely when he's older and start mentoring Tony's kid, who could use her mom's Rescue armor (I never want to see Ms. Goop on screen again)

I assume anyone signing on for an MCU project now would be expected to commit for multiple shows/movies, unless it was an obvious one-off role, which I don't think this is.
