Nice. Need to stay ahead of the US, in golds and total medals.

I guess they have a guaranteed medal in men's curling, hopefully not gold. But maybe not much more?

She doesn’t deserve to die trying to get down that course.

Daleman is really fighting it. A lot of yellow and red on her scorecard.

Hopefully this is one of those things that helps her grow and be ready for 2022 - I mean she's only 19 or 20, so she'll get another shot hopefully.

It's so weird to me that ski cross is lumped in with all the skiing disciplines that have style points rather than with the races - it seems most related to downhill to me, and like it would fit better under the "alpine" umbrella.

Speaking of freestyle events, doesn't aerials seem so antiquated and boring now? Halfpipe and slopestyle are so much more fun to watch as the there's so much creativity involved. Who wants to watch just flips and spins?

Long story short: skicross wasn't accepted as an alpine event and freestyle federations took them in and put them on the freestyle circuit, which works from a venue standpoint.

The Canadian ski-cross team used to be a Freestyle team (was in Vancouver) and then got put into Alpine Canada because that's where their athletes come from anyway, and it's how they train.

So it started as a 'gimmicky' sport that wasn't real racing that wasn't accepted by alpine traditionalists, became popular on the freestyle circuit, and now they operate as alpine teams that compete at freestyle venues.
