The guy has only Lomberg and Rychel behind him in CF% this year out of the 27 skaters that have played minutes in Calgary.
Same two guys and Czarnik are the only forwards with worse scoring chance splits.
It wasn't one give away.

Nope. Conditioning stints only last for a few games and Valimaki has been down there for like 9 or something? Valimaki must have been sent down. So he will need a recall if we want him before the season ends.

He is not. He didn't require waivers, so he was sent down with a regular AHL assignment.

I'd personally expect Valimaki, Quine, and Dube to be the recalls.
For playoff emergency recalls, I'd think we'll see Graovac, Rychel, Foo, Gawdin, Lomberg, Phillips, Robinson, Valiev, Healey, Taormina, Nielsen, Gillies, and maybe Schneider as the "black aces."

No. He was at the limit for GP before he had to go through waivers to go down or something IIRC. just so happened to coincide with that one bad giveaway.
But if we sent guys down for giveaways like that then brodie would be playing in austria by now

Quine requires no waivers for recall as re-entry waiver no longer exist. However, if he plays 1 more game he will require waivers to be sent down.

All I can get

Stockton isn't expected to make the playoffs, so an early airlift of the Black Aces is likely.

Conditioning stints don't count as part of the recall limit.

Dube, Quine and Valimaki are the only recalls we need.
Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm
Tkachuk-Backlund-Bennett
Neal-Jankowski-Czarnik
Frolik-Ryan-Neal
Mangiapane-Quine-Dube
Lazar
Gio-Brodie
Hanifin-Hamonic
Kylington-Andersson
Fantenburg-Stone
Valimaki-Prout
Smith
Rittich
I can't see any other players playing for us down the stretch or in the playoffs as we already have 4 extra forwards and 4 extra dmen in the group.

Hopefully there will be no need for a goalie. But yeah, I agree otherwise.

The emergency recall rule can be utilized in the event we need a goalie.

Dube, not Lomberg.
I keep wondering about Graovac though.

Valimaki and Dube for sure.
And they probably want to keep one in their pockets for a while.

All of them will join the team on April 15th if not before.

Why? They can use emergency callups if they have to. I guess if they want a guy to play out the full AHL season and not sit a bunch, they'd wait that long.

Flexibility. See who's playing well, etc. Do we want another C, another LW, grit? or whatever

Safe to say by the looks of the standings they're not making playoffs. Should be able to pick anyone.

I could see Kerby Rychel, Ryan Lomberg, or even Buddy Robinson recalled if the Flames feel they need some more physicality... who I'd really love to see is Matthew Phillips though.
