I wonder if the break out could be could be adjusted for a 3rd option once the forchekers get in deep to pressure the d in the corners.

Yeah, like in that case there were 3 forecheckers covering the 2 D basically all below the goal line. As a defenseman, I like to have the high boards or middle ice option...but I suppose that's exceptionally more risky when you're the goalie passing from behind the net.
