These 2 teams played it close again, just like last week. The Caps won again, this time in the SO. There was far less rough stuff and the Capitals had Holtby in net this time instead of Copley. Georgiev faced 39 shots from Washington. The win puts the Capitals only 8 points up on the 9th place BJs.

Elliot was decent in net for the Flyers as he made 29 saves. His shutout bid was spoiled by Pelech with 4:45 left in the game. Giroux with 2 assists and the Flyers are 5 points back of the Penguins and Habs who hold the last 2 playoff spots. The Isles are only 6 points up on the BJs.

The Jets had the Blake Wheeler show going as he scored 4 goals and Schiefle assisted on 3 of them. Hellebucyk was the other reason the Jets won, he made 40 saves in the win.

It was part 1 of this Central Div showdown. The Wild can thank their goalie Stalock as he held his team to get the 1 point. Stalock made 41 saves in the game and in the 3rd period the shots were 14-3 for the Predators and in OT it was 3-0 Nashville. The Predators remain 1 point back of the Jets. The Wild are tied with the Stars, 2 points up on the 9th place Coyotes. Part 2 of this home-away series is on Tuesday.

Canucks at Knights---the Canucks can't score, they've been shutout 9 times this season. Markstrom was a stud in net.

Avalanche at Ducks---the Ducks play spoiler as the Avs are 3 back of a playoff spot.

Senators at Panthers---the Panthers finally played a game that ended in reg time, their first in 5 games.

Blackhawks at Sharks---the Bhawks imploded in the 3rd period. The Sharks stay close to the Flames.
