Moneyhands was a heart and soul part of the team for some of the most fun memories of the last ten years for the franchise. Wish his health hadn't faced challenges and I hope he comes back at the level he used to play it.
Can't help feeling he sacrificed a lot of his future in battling to help the team achieve during challenging times.

He was at times a really good player, but never great for more than a 30 game stretch. I hope he can get healthy and find a way to play a few more years and live a nice healthy life after hockey. Best of luck to him.

I tip my hat to you, sir.
You have been a warrior on the ice and a great ambassador of the game in the community. All the best as you begin the next chapter. Here’s to a Masterton trophy in your near future.

Was secretly really looking forward to his season here after his surgery .. I hope it all works out for him in Montreal ... I wasn't counting him out ... disappointed to see you go ... thanks Mony you were a great Flame !!!
If Monahan is gone, then Oliver Kylington has been on the Flames the second longest (he played his first game in 2015-2016). Michael Stone and Rasmus Andersson played their first games for Calgary in 2016-2017.
If the longtime Flames are counted by how long they have been in the organization, then Rushan Rafikov (2013) is second to Backlund, followed by Rasmus Andersson, Kylington, and Mangiapane. Next would be Dube and Phillips.
Sean Monahan was a great Flames player! So many exciting moments. He was always so humble on and off the ice. Great skill set. I'll probably always remember him meeting Gaudreau in the tunnel for the hug.
He was a great player for us and seems like a really good guy. It sucks that injuries derailed his career. I hope he can bounce back and wish him the best.

Crazy the core pieces of this rebuild are all gone. Monahan was the first and I remember being so excited about him when he was drafted. I remember I was flying home from my honeymoon during that draft and was so pumped when I found out we got Monahan (over Lindholm no less)
I will always cheer Monahan as long as he never becomes an Oiler or Canuck. I hope he can rebound and suspect he finds his way to Columbus next summer
Thanks Sean you are awesome and will be missed. You gave it all for this team and these fans and it won’t be forgotten
