What horribly sad news.

Willie was an absolute legend. I'll miss what he brought to the Dome greatly.

Was he ill? I knew he had battled cancer in the past.

Here's a Twitter tweet from two weeks ago..

RIP.

The organ and the trumpet tunes at Flames games made for such a comforting environment.

Who was the player before Joosen? I remember the Irene Besse sponsorship but can’t recall the actual organ player’s name.

Oh man. That really sucks. I loved when he'd go off the beaten path. Nothing better than being at a game and going "Is that the Zelda theme?"

All the best to his family and friends.

I thought it acturally was Irene Besse playing, for at least some of the early years.

I think in 'Dome history, Irene and Willy were the only full-timers.
