Toffoli is an upgrade for our wings but I don't see him pushing the Flames over the top. If he can be had for a decent price then I think Tre should give it a shot.

He would make the 1st and 3rd lines better. And the 2nd and 4th lines are already great.

We also have a deep D core and a great goalie tandem.

Adding him could be just the trigger to launch this team on a run.

Oh, and the division is really weak this year - a trip to the final four has never been more available for the taking.

It's not just the division. The Flames, by all accounts, have had a wildly inconsistent first half and have even been underwhelming at times, and are still just a point out of second in the West.

I assume they have, but it’s likely that the cost of acquisition (such as Valimaki and a 1st) and the fact he likely won’t waive, has made this trade a no go.

I wonder if this rumour came straight from Brad's mouth. Is he using Lebrun to confuse other GMs or is it legit? Makes you wonder. In any case I think we'll see a trade pretty soon.

When LeBrun names a target for the Flames he is typically right. He called Troy Brouwer days before, he said we were hard after Hamonic a day or two before and also mentioned Lindholm and Hanifin 36 hours or so before the deal went down.

I honestly think Toffoli is a Flame before they come back from the break
